Mambogem Latin Fusion Dance Company
Directed and Founded by Jessalyn Soe
Founded by Jessalyn Zoe in early 2007, MamboGem is the 1st NY style "on 2" Mambo dance company in Shanghai. The company is dedicated to dancing, performing and promoting New York style salsa in China. Many of its previous members have now become popular teachers active in the local Shanghai Salsa scene.
Since the beginning, Mambogem has performed in many international salsa congresses and events such as Japan Salsa Congress in 2007, Beijing China Congress in 2008 and Korea Salsa Congress in 2009. Mambogem Dance company is truly an international group, its members all have diverse backgrounds from US, Canada, Italy, China and Japan.
Mambogem seeks to expand its styles of performance each season, from elegant and smooth classic mambo, from funky jazzy Latin fusion numbers to earthy afro-cuban and beyond, Mambogem will continue to experiment and incorporate new ideas of dancing into the choreogrphy.

For the past five years Phoenix Dance Company has lived by it’s madow of bringing Salsa to China, and taking China Salsa to the World. It is the first Internationally recognized Salsa dance company in China. The company consists of several China Salsa Champions, and China’s leading performers and dance instructors including Yang Zhen the 2008 China Salsa Champion, Xiao Yan 2006 & 2007 China Salsa Champions, Wang Shuang 2008 China Salsa Champion, and several others! The company has performed at several of the top Latin events in the World including the West Coast World Salsa Congress in Los Angles, Scandinavian Salsa Congress in Sweden, Korea Salsa Congress, Hong Kong Salsa Congress, and the Annual China Salsa Congress.

Cupa Salsa Dance Club
Directed by Xu Huan & Nahaya
The team was established one year ago; despite its short history, the team attract a big number of outstanding salseros & salseras in Beijing, consisting of the founder Nahaya (renowned dancer and choreographer), Xu Huan (champion of year 2006), etc. Strong team spirit make Cupa performance team occupy an important position both in beijing and around the country. Aiming at spreading salsa culture within the country, the Cupa Dance Club has established several branch studios in Sichuan province, China. Cupa performance team consists of three groups: a 5-couple team, a beginners' team, and a team from the branch studios. |

Fashion Dance Group, from Shanghai, is led proudly by Grace Wu - founder, choreographer and director.
Formed only in 2008, FDG has since quickly gained wide-spread popularity and recognition for its elegantly choreographed routines that seamlessly fuse together Salsa and many other dance styles. Performed at the China Salsa Congress last year and the Malaysian Salsa Festival 2009.

The Group consists of Salsa lovers wishing to challenge themselves under the strict and professional training methods adopted by Grace. We believe in constantly learning of other dance forms for the creation of individual styles.

GRACE WU When asked, Grace (fondly known as ‘小孔雀’) likes to introduce herself merely as “a happy dancer” and a person who live to dance and who made ‘dancing’ a life-long companion.
When pressed for more details of her dance background, Grace summed it up as follows
- a trained professional dancer;
- graduated from the prestigious Beijing Dance Academy (majoring in dance and choreography);
- a former member of one of China’s top national Dance Troupe;
- selected to travel Europe for 5 years as China’s ‘dance ambassador’ for cultural exchange;
- presently the Dance Director of Parsons Art School in Shanghai;
- founder, choreographer and director of the Fashion Dance Group;
Grace is an extremely light follower with fast reaction and spins. She brings with her a unique blend of styling, elegance and strength. Invited as a special guest performer at the Malaysian Salsa Festival 2009, Grace dazzled the audience with amazing body movements that left many still raving days after the show.
